Tips and Tricks for Cashew Raisin Energy Bites
Experiment with Different Raisins
Unless I’m absolutely nuts, different raisins taste different. Try using sultana, zante currants, thompson, or golden raisins.
Choose Oats Wisely
Always check the label to make sure they are gluten-free certified. Not all oats are created equal. While oats themselves are gluten free, they may also be processed in facilities which are not gluten free certified.
Use Different Nut Butters
Recently, I’ve seen so many new nut butters at local shops and grocers. Currently, I’m trying a “Rainforest Butter”, an impeccable blend of cashew butter, coconut, and brazil nut. I’ve also had macadamia nut butter, which is just as delicious.
Try making these energy bites with peanut butter, almond butter, or hazelnut butter. If you’re looking for a nut-free version, use sunflower seed butter.
